Co-curator and participating artist of <Data/Water/Bodies> an artistic research project that included a gallery installation and public workshops investigating the materiality of data, including the technology infrastructure it requires, and the resulting effects on people and communities. Central to the project is water – for its role in cooling data centers, but also for the vastly more important role it plays in sustaining individual and planetary life.
Using moving image, sound, sculptural objects, and participatory methods, the project explored how digital material circulates, transforms, and shapes contemporary geographies. <Data/Water/Bodies> invited audiences to reflect on the physical and conceptual flows that underpin our increasingly digital and water-mediated worlds.
The project culminated in an immersive audiovisual installation accompanied by a series of public workshops that encouraged participants to reflect on their own relationships to digital traces, archives, and the new demands on water. Through these activities, the project made visible the environmental and infrastructural systems that sustain contemporary digital life while creating opportunities for public dialogue and creative engagement.
